And the race begins ...

Starting December 16th through January 15, 2010, Teens Turning Green will partner with Athletes for Hope on their Who Gives? Racing for a Cause Challenge with professional and Olympic athletes. Our goal is to raise funds for Teens Turning Green. Many athletes have partnered with non-profit organizations to do the same. Thus, the CHALLENGE. Who can get the most donations and who can raise the most funds. Prizes are given daily.

Our athlete partner is Pro AVP Volleyball player, Brittany Hochevar from Hermosa Beach, California. We are honored to have been chosen by Brittany. She is thrilled to partner with us and highlight the Turning Green work because as she says, “these are everyday changes that all of us can make to help guide us toward being healthier people and a more sustainable planet.”

The goal of this blog is twofold:

1. Highlight our "Brittany Goes Green" project
Campaign members from Teens Turning Green will work with Brittany and many eco companies to green her daily routine from the products that she uses on her skin and body, to the clothing and accessories that she wears on for volleyball, to lifestyle choices, cleaning supplies, in other words, all of the things that she does on a daily basis but looking at them in the deepest shade of green. We will follow her eco transformation through this blog, Youtube, Facebook, Twitter and Flickr. If you participate, there are great eco prizes to win!

2. Promote the Athletes for Hope, “Who Gives? challenge
We get additional funds for lots of traffic and lots of donations daily so we will be sending out this link all over the planet.

Most of all, click here to link to Athletes for Hope and make a donation to support the amazing work of Teens Turning Green during our month long fun-raising and fund-raising race.
